Battery Bracket and Converter for Gold-Mount Batteries is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent, needs polish Great idea and seems flexible but has a few VERY major flaws 1) The tilt fastener cannot get tight enough using finger strength to not flop around under weight - using pliers helps 2) The fastener that secures the 15mm rods squeezes the rods together so if it's tight, you cannot slide the rods in/out of other accessories because they're being pulled closer than their normal spacing 3) The fastener that secures the 15mm rods spins so you need 2 hands to orient it correctly to attach. If it's spun at all, it's frustrating to realign 4) The power converters within are NOISY both audible and PWM. You can hear a whine audibly and also a clicking on your audio track if you plug both a camera and audio receivers into the same plate. Super low quality buck converters, though there are 3 separate internal converters all tunable to different voltages. - That's a good idea, just not enough power filtering for sensitive cameras and audio hops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE best way 2 mount your 3 stud battery Otherwise, can't tell you how much nicer and cleaner my DSLR rigs look. Gone is the gaff tape, rip wraps, rubber bands, etc. So much nicer and professional! What's awesome is that it has 2 D tap connectors, so you can run multiple accessories. The photo is slightly wrong. The actually connections on the bracket are female lemo connections. Haven't had a good chance to get into these just yet, but you have 3 of the larger lemo size 12 volt (1B I believe), 1 0B lemo for a 5 volt, and 1 0B lemo for a 7.2 volt. The other review about this item is for the item in the photo. However, that's an OLD photo of the wrong part. Currently, as of 11/18/2012, I can tell you that the connections are female Lemo connections, NOT what is pictured in the photo.WARNING!!! Just to be on the safe side, call B&H photo before you buy this to make sure it IS the correct part.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good build quality but could be improved Since there was very little info available for these Movcam battery brackets I thought I would comment on my recent purchase. The build quality is generally good. The 3-pin 12v Lemos are not the Arricam 3-pin size. The ones marked 12 volt are one size to big. The pins marked 5v & 7.2v are the correct size but 4-pin. So one either needs to install the smaller Lemos for Arri compatibility or make an adapter pigtail. I guess there are benefits to the larger 3-pin if you want to draw more amps but I think most accessories at this level for - DSLR/F3 & FS700, etc. don't require much power. The other issue, at least with the gold mount version is the battery(s) is upside down when the bracket is place in an upright position - that is to say in the 1 o'clock position. If it is used t the 5 0clock postion the battery is upright. This may not seem like a big deal but if you need to use a transmitter - like the IDX WEVI it makes you put the transmitter upside down - which isn't good for signal. Since there are is a battery mount on each side - the good news is that one battery will power thru to the other side, so for instance if you put a battery on one side you can power a gold mount accessory on the other with that battery. I would suggest making one right side up and the other upside down. That way one has a choice of ways to run the battery depending on the need. In handheld down is fine(since the battery is upright) but in studio mode upright would seem to be best. Also, there is no AJA bracket included with the battery bracket, just the battery bracket. The picture is also wrong as the lemo plugs are flush (as shown on the V-lock picture) and not raised. When they say converter I think they mean voltage Another thing might be to predrill the holes for the V-Lock plate so that those of us who would like to switch to the V-lock system or gold mount can simply unscrew the one plate an align the new one. Of course this would also require a quick release power cable. Both of which seem relatively easy
