Waldorf Blofeld overview

  • 1Description

The Blofeld Keyboard by Waldorf builds upon their award-winning, desktop synth module by adding 49 professional-quality, semi-weighted keys with velocity and after-touch, plus 60 MB of sample RAM. With that kind of onboard memory you can import your own selection of samples and manipulate them using the legendary, Blofeld 16-part multi-timbral virtual-analog synthesis engine.

It also has 25 voice polyphony, over 1000 factory patches and a programmable 16-step arpeggiator sure to excite and energize your audience. But things don't end there; the Blofeld keyboard also features an on-board effects section and the classic Microwave II/XT/XTk wavetables.

Add that to its all-metal white enclosure, stainless steel rotaries, pitchbend and modulation wheels, large graphic LED display and multiple oscillator and filter modulations and you've just scored yourself what is destined to become another Waldorf classic.

    Waldorf Blofeld reviews

Blofeld Keyboard (White) is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Less than stellar I found the synthesizer to be great - four stars! The keyboard however is somewhat less than stellar - heavy, slow and sometimes poor response. This keyboard is probably not much different than most 49 key keyboards. I would not purchase the keyboard and synth package again. I would purchase the synth, and stick with my current keyboard. Save the money - buy the synth, leave the keyboard! Support was not very good - responsive, but not helpful. You're pretty much on your own with this product. Good luck!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from buy the synthesizer, skip the keyboard! I have several keyboards, and this is probably the worst. This keyboard definitely falls in the electronic keyboard category. It is supposed to be a semi-weighted. Accent is definitely on SEMI! More like hemisemi-weighted. Synth is OK. Support is awful! Don't expect much help from Waldorf. Save your money and buy the stand alone synth, but use a different keyboard.
