The Universal Lens Gear from Wide Open Camera is an 11.25" long lens gear with standard 0.8 Mod (32 pitch) gearing that makes it compatible with most geared follow focus systems. With nine holes for nine length settings, it's also compatible with most lenses.
The lens gear uses zip tie fasteners to attach to your lens—simply cut it to fit. The gear's 0.5" width works with longer-throw lenses, including macros.

It does the job but if you want your lens to be able to fit a motor from different angles OR if your lens has a long focus throw the zip tie connection can be limiting, also if you want to readjust the gear you will have to get 2mm zip ties which are kinda rare.
These gear bands are relatively hard plastic, and less likely to slip gears under torque than softer versions. Once tightened, they don't slip on the focusing/zoom/aperture ring either. They're easy to install, especially if you have a tie-wrap gun.
