The Yamaha EZ-220 is a portable keyboard that makes learning to play fun and easy for beginners. It features keys that light up to show which note to press next, allowing you to build confidence by playing along with built-in songs and lessons. You can also use the Yamaha Education Suite to practice and learn songs at your own pace, even if you don't know how to read music.
The EZ-220 is equipped with 61 full-size keys with touch sensitivity that add musical expressivity to your melodies depending on how loudly or softly you're playing. It offers 392 high-quality instrument sounds including strings, guitars, brass, saxophones, drums—some with Super Articulation Lite technology to reproduce the unique nuances heard when playing acoustic instruments. A dedicated button lets you quickly switch to a rich Grand Piano sound. You can also add reverb to sweeten your sound.
There are 100 auto-accompaniment styles with a backing band capable of playing in a wide variety of musical genres such as pop, rock, jazz, dance, Latin, and world music to name a few. The Easy Chord function allows you to play chord voicings using only one, two, or three fingers.
Yamaha Education Suite includes practicing and learning techniques to teach you how to play the 100 built-in songs—each with its own digital score. Lessons are done in isolation with either your left hand or right hand, or both. Just call up a song and hit Start. A chord dictionary is onboard to show you the individual notes of chords.
Yamaha's EZ-220 Page Turner app for iPad (free download available separately) not only includes the piano score for the 100 preset songs, but also turns pages automatically. You can view the score of the current song on your iPad screen. The notation page is automatically turned according to the playback progression. The app also allows you to record your playing and/or singing through the iPad's built-in microphone.
The built-in speaker system delivers a clear sound, while the headphone output provides for private practice or playing. The EZ-200 USB to Host port enables you to send USB MIDI straight into your computer/DAW for recording your music and performances.
Compact and lightweight, the EZ-200 is incredibly portable. It runs on 6 AA batteries or can be powered from a PA-130 AC adapter (batteries and adapter available separately).
