This filter works by infusing the background areas of the scene with the filter tone and blending the skin tones with additional warmth. The 2 density provides less skin tone enhancement than the 1, but less than the 3.
Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting to precision metal rings. This filter is compatible with Series 9 filter holders.
