It pays to buy the Panasonic brand battery for my camera. Other brands are less, but I am never sure of the quality. Pay the extra and be sure you have a quality battery that won't damage your camera. I have bought many batteries from B&H for previous cameras and will continue to buy brand name batteries and other equipment from B&H.

What charger matches this battery? I need to purchase a replacement charger and the model number is not specified in the camera documentation.

If it does not have your camera listed to be compatable with the battery on it's description, then no. It was with mine, and it works very well.

Similar batteries work but I haven't found them to last as long, besides the FZ70 battery will last most people all day plus and doesn't take long to recharge
