The black Equitek e300S Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone from CAD features an externally-biased large diaphragm capsule and high-power transformerless electronics for maximum vocal impact. It can be used in a wide range of applications, including studio vocals, voice-over, choir, orchestra, acoustic instrument, guitar cabinets, bass cabinets, strings, piano, and cymbals/overheads. Three polar patterns allow you to balance tone and space, and rechargeable NiMH batteries provide a convenient current reserve. Additional features include a hi-pass filter, attenuator, and power switch. There is an included carrying case and elastic shock mount. The microphone requires 48V of phantom power.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from A natural, with just a little bit of sparkle! I bought the E300S from B&H and have no regrets, despite having to get it shipped internationally. It is a heavy but highly versatile microphone due to it's variable polar patterns and internal batteries. What really sets this microphone apart from others is its ability to capture sounds just so fantastically well - all the detail with no unnatural bias for any particular frequency. The recorded sound is natural but with just a little bit of sparkle. This makes it a go-to microphone for vocals. Very happy!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from E300s a Worthy Addition to Any Project Studio This microphone has a lot of gain and when in its bi-direction mode is a voiceover microphone that can stand up to the big names(if your room sounds good). Though not as well known as its little brother, the E300S is a good mid-level vocal mic with silky highs and strong (if not muscular) midbass. In addition, its accurate-sounding cardioid pattern makes a good instrument mic but is not particularly flattering to my tenor voice. It turned out to be the best gift I ever picked out for myself.
