The stand is awesome. It has a slightly taller and wider footprint than the comparable Matthews stand. It holds an old 2K Mole Richardson light I have with a Junior pin. With the 2K on top of the stand, and/or a chimera, it reaches an interior ceiling easily. One defining item is the drop down baby pin so that it will angle outwards. This allows me to place an Aputure 300 facing out and down and make it into a space light. With the heavy stand, it only needs one sandbag and it's good to go. The stand is heavy, and built like a tank. When you need this kind of support, you cant beat this stand.

I have several Kupo stands (Kupo Low Mighty Baby Stands, Kupo High Roller Stands and several Kupo Junior Boom Stands) and I needed this particular size for medium height jobs. This stand like all the other Kupo stands is high quality and a rock solid build. The combo head make this stand very flexible for using in any situation. Also, the levelling-leg is invaluable feature. This stand is not too heavy to carry around for location shoots but heavy enough not to get blow over by wind especially if you add a couple of sand bags.

With casters on, what is the closed length (for transport)?

Kupo Low Mighty Stand (6.7') closed lenght is 36.2". The Kupo 100mm Brake Caster 25.4mm Square rise the light stand for another 6 inches. In total the closed lengh with both products is aproximately 42.2''.

With the pop up 5/8 pin, this stand can work with both the Dana Dolly and the Kessler Crane Shuttle Dolly.
