I don't think they are but I'm a big guy and I crank mine down super tight and I've never had an issue with them being weak. Kupo makes good stuff.

What is the thread size on the bottom of this clamp?
it has 1/4 20 but I haven't had a good experience using it. The main feature is using the Hexagonal receiver which can accept various studs with 1/4 20, 3/8 -16, or 5/8 studs.
