The Vello Bounce Dome for Canon 580EX II Flash will diffuse the light output of the flash, producing softer shadows and a softer, more natural glow rather than the harsher effect when using a direct flash. The diffuser provides even coverage across the entire frame, and is ideal for use with lenses from 15 to 200mm in 35mm format (and equal in other formats as well).

The Bounce Dome simply slides onto and off the flash with custom fitting, without the need for touch fastener tabs.

I use this on my Godox 685 CII. I have 2 other diffusers but this one works best for a good fill flash. I don't know why the plastic seems to do better than the other cloth ones. Also it is easier to carry and to put on the flash quickly when needed, no elastic bands to fit around the flash, a gentle push fits it over the flash-head quickly.

Biggest issue is the fit on my flash unit. It is not snug and I am pretty concerned about it getting knocked off inadvertently. Using some double stick tape to help hold it in place - we'll see. I will be using it this weekend so I will try to get back and update the review.

I saw these used on a YouTube flash photography tutorial. They fit excellently, do a great job of softening the flash and store easily.

Based on the images of the 580EX diffuser, it seems to have a different shape. I wouldn't risk it, it would buy the one that fit the flash I have.
