  • Compatible With All Lensbaby Optics
  • Compatible With All Lensbaby Lens Bodies
  • 8mm & 16mm Extension Rings Can Combine
Lensbaby's Macro Converter Extension Rings for Lensbaby lets you take that Lensbaby look as close to your subject as you want--even touching it in some cases--and get a picture that's in focus. You can choose the 8mm ring, the 16mm ring (both included), or combine them for a 24mm ring, so you have plenty of control over exactly how close-up you want your photo to be.

The converters are compatible with all Lensbaby lens bodies and optics, and provide focus distances of 0" to 8.13", depending on the optic, the camera, and the converter(s) you use. The Macro Converters simply screw into the Lensbaby lens body and the optic screws into the converter. The converters are compatible with Composer, Composer Pro, Muse, Scout, Control Freak and all optics (the Fisheye Optic is only compatible with the 8mm converter, as it allows you to actually focus on a subject that the lens is touching).

I find it very difficult to separate the rings from eachother and from the main lens.

Ridiculous

Works great but the price is ridiculous. Both pieces are made of low quality plastic and have to cost less than a dollar to make or even less.

I'll assume that since these extension rings add no optics between subject & sensor they're superior to using dioptor close-up filter sets (usually plus 1, 2, & 4)? WE ALL know what assumptions can make of us, so thanks for answers.
Asked by: Budd
That is correct. As the Lensbaby Macro Converter Extension Rings for Lensbaby do not have any optics inside the extension rings, they would not effect image quality other than allowing you to focus closer to your subject, increasing magnification, and preventing the ability to focus at infinity when using the extension tubes.

Are these compatible with the Nikon D3400?

Are these compatible with the Nikon D3400?
Asked by: Katherine
I don’t why they wouldn’t be.. I can’t imagine sensor size having any impact. I use them with my D750, but they should work just as easily with my D7100. These are used with the lensbaby system and don’t even actually get mounted to the camera body itself.

Will this work with the velvet 56?

Will this work with the velvet 56?
Asked by: caroline
Being that the Velvet 56 has specific lens mounts based on the camera system you're using, the Macro Converter Extension rings cannot be used with it.

question

Does this work with sony E mount alpha series 6300 or 6500 ? .
Asked by: Muhammad I.
Yes, the Macro Converters are compatible with your Sony E-mount camera. However, they are meant to fit between a Lensbaby lens body and optic (Example: The Macro Converters fit between the Composer Pro II and the Sweet 35 Optic, working like an extension tube, allowing you to get closer to your subject). question

does this work with the Twist 60 that fits right onto your camera body?
Asked by: Phyllis M.
The booklet that came with the converters states it will work with all of the Lensbaby lenses. SO I think it will work just fine.

question

Does this work with the Canon Eos rebel t5.
Asked by: Rebecca G.
Yes, our Macro Converters are not mount specific so they will be compatible with your Canon Rebel camera. These are made to work with our Optic Swap Compatible Lenses though, so you will need a Composer Pro (or something similar) with an optic, in order to use these with your camera. You are welcome to call or email Lensbaby directly if you have any other questions. Thanks and have a great day.

The macro converters are designed for use with any of the interchangeable optics which can be installed in the lensbaby composer. The converters are not compatible with the velvet 56.
