The Marshall Electronics M-HS1 HDMI 1x2 Splitter / Extender / Repeater features an HDMI input and two HDMI outputs. It can be used to split an HDMI signal into two or to extend one by as long as an HDMI cable can carry a signal (about 40-50 ft).
As an extender, the M-HS1 is an active extender because it's powered. It can also serve as a repeater -- multiple units can be employed to repeat (extend) a signal by up to about 120 ft.
Power is by 4 included AA batteries, but an optional 5V power adapter can also be used. For mounting, a hook and a 1/4"-20 screw hole are incorporated into the design . By way of the hook, the M-HS1 can be hung on pretty much anything -- a door knob, for example. And by the screw hole, the unit can be mounted onto 1/4"-20 screws.
