The Kodak 3 x 3" #44 Wratten 2 Filter is a light blue-green filter for reducing the amount of red light from reaching the film or sensor. In addition to a black and white contrast filter, it can also be used as a viewing filter for 2-color applications.
Wratten 2 filters are constructed from gelatin for ease of use and consistent performance. When compared to the original Wratten filters, Wratten 2 filters are more rigid and durable, easier to handle, and less sensitive to humidity, static cling, and fingerprints.
