Panasonic's DMP-BBT01 Smart Network 3D Blu-ray Disc Player is an impressively tiny 3D Blu-ray player. Compact doesn't even describe it - it's a square box just bigger than the disc itself. The device can be positioned either horizontally or vertically (with our without an included stand).
Despite its reduced dimensions, Panasonic hasn't skimped on build quality; it's as rigid and rugged a unit as you could hope for, with a dappled top panel and mirrored panels around the side.
Some features include 2D-to-3D conversion (which extends to VIERA Connect apps), FLAC audio support, and integrated Wi-Fi capabilities that let you bypass a router completely and connect to the Internet.
The DMP-BBT01 also makes it possible to stream music video and photos from DLNA PCs on your home network, as well as NAS drives and other non-DLNA devices. Format support includes DivX HD, MP4, MPEG-2, JPEG, MPO, FLAC and MP3. Additionally you can play MKV from USB storage devices, plus AVCHD 3D, MP4, MPEG-2, JPEG and MPO from SD cards.
Lastly, the remote control for the DMP-BBT01 has a touch pad for intuitive operation to simply swipe your fingertips across the remote control to easily navigate through the GUI on the screen.
