Why must this only be installed by Acratech? If I buy the Acratech Ultimate Ballhead, won't it just screw on the head?
We use Loctite on the threads to keep the clamp from unscrewing or twisting. This is a safer, solid and secure setup.

Hi mate,Im confused about this acratech clamp item and with the other similiar item. Do you think this item will fit with my manfrotto 054 magnesium ballhead and also with sirui k40x? What's the difference with acratech quick release locking level clamp?ThanksKevin M
The Acratech Arca-Type Locking Lever Clamp for GV2 will not work on the Manfrotto 054 ball head, since this head uses the Q2 quick release system. However, this clamp will work on the Sirui K40X ball head, as this head is Arca-type. The difference between these two is that the Manfrotto head uses a proprietary Manfrotto QR system, whereas Sirui uses an Arca-type QR system, which is more or less a universal quick release system.

Can this clamp be installed on my Arca Swiss p0 head? I have the version with the panning mechanism but no clamp installed, only the male 1/4 and 3/8 inch screws.

This will not fit a GXP ballhead. Acratech does not sell the lever clamp for the GXP ballhead to the general public. I bought this lever clamp from B&H, called Acratech and was told it does not fit the GXP ballhead but if I send them my GXP ballhead and this clamp, they'll install the correct lever clamp for my GXP ballhead free of charge. However, I would have to pay for shipping both ways. Just did this and the lever clamp works great on my GXP. Thanks Acratech.
