The Tonelux CR2 Control Room Monitor Module is designed for professional monitoring applications such as for mixing and mastering. The unit has four external stereo inputs as well as an internal stereo mix bus. It features an after fade listen (AFL) stereo level control, which is switched on whenever a channel is soloed, and a panel switch that switches to pre-fade listen (PFL) mode. Both functions blink when the solo selector switch is engaged to indicate that a module is soloed. The module also features three control room speaker outputs- one main and two small client speaker outputs, a mono compatibility switch that combines the left and right channel, left and right speaker cut switches, and a dim control that dims the control room level by 15 dB.
The CR2 also has a control room level pot, a matched pair of rotary switches with a large 24-position control knob for imaging. The monitor to cue feature sends the control room feed to MX2 at either 1/2 or 3/4 level, which allows for a fast headphone monitor feed from whatever is being monitored in the control room. There is also a small speaker level control that is after the large control room level. The Control Room metering is accessible from the rear of the VRack for an external set of VU meters.
