Does anyone know what universal base plate this uses? I'd like to get a couple for some other equipment.
The Magnus tripod that works with these quick-release plates does have a removable base plate; however, I have not seen that base plate as a stand-alone product. (HEY MAGNUS! If it were, I would buy one immediately!)If you really must have the base plate, then (as of my writing this) your only option is to buy a second tripod and disassemble it to free the base plate. As a side note, it appears (although I have NOT verified it) that the Giottos M621 base plate may work for the VT-QRP400 quick release plate. If someone at B&H could verify, we would appreciate it!

Hello. I have a Ravelli AVT tripod (double handle one) will this plate work for that? Ben trying to replace it (QR plate) for months...
From the information I found searching your tripod and the look of the plate I believe it would fit.
