MXO2 LE for desktops is a portable I/O device featuring a host bus adapter that's specifically for connecting to desktops. The MXO2 captures video from a camera in the highest of qualities and transfers it to a computer in ready-to-edit format. The "MAX" in the name means that this Mojito features fast encoding to H.264 format. As for connections, it's equipped with SD/HD-SDI, HDMI, component, composite and S-Video ports for video and XLR and RCA ports for balanced and unbalanced audio. It also supports up to 8 channels of SDI-embedded audio and 8 channels of HDMI-embedded audio.
Once the footage is in the computer, the Production Premium takes over. Comprised of Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Flash Catalyst, Flash Professional, Media Encoder, Device Central, OnLocation, Encore, and Bridge, all of which work seamlessly together, the package moves footage from editing through visual effects and to Web and mobile deployment.
Another point -- MXO2 LE features an HDMI monitoring output by which you can connect a top-resolution HDMI monitor and playback on that monitor the footage that you captured with the MXO2, and then use After Effects to perform color correction with precision.
