Nice companion to the Sony RX100

Fits well, very easy to use and unobtrusive.

Uniquely useful, with one important deficiency

I can't edit my own earlier review? OK, doing it over. The previous failure didn't recur, so I'm writing it off as a fluke. Pro: 1. The slider that lets the shoulder pad stay on your shoulder. 2. The single point of attachment to the camera so it's easy (with caveat, see below) to separate from the strap for easier camera handling. Con: The quick release buckle is too small for quick release. I have relatively narrow fingers, but it's nevertheless awkward to poise them so as to depress the narrowly recessed connector. I dealt with that by attaching the provided connector's loop to another buckle that's easier to operate. But rest of the design is so much better than any other shoulder strap I've seen that I'm very happy with the product as modified.

Great Product

When I switched to a bridge camera, I wanted something similar to the OP/TECH sling that I used for my DSLRs. When I saw this, I knew that I had to order it and I'm so glad that I did!!

great for Sony RX100

I bought it for a Sony RX100, it could work also for smaller APSC cameras if the lens is not too heavy. Well made, with quick release (that can be replaced when the string wear out after some years). Price is right, and it is a great strap for street photography as it allows quick draw and to keep the camera below the armpit, protected by the arm, so it wont bang on other people on crowded streets.

Pro: 1. The slider that lets the shoulder pad stay on your shoulder 2. The single point of attachment to the camera so it's easy (with caveat, see below) to separate from the strap for easier camera handling. Con: 1. The quick release buckle is too small for quick release. I have relatively narrow fingers, but it's nevertheless awkward to poise them so as to depress the narrowly recessed connector. I dealt with that by attaching the provided connector's loop to another buckle that's easier to operate. 2. The strip of leather that's stitched to the neoprene strap ends with an abrupt transition from non-stretchy leather to stretchy foam. That's a point of weakness, and today I discovered that both ends of the neoprene had torn after only 16 months; one end remained attached only by the fraying fabric backing. If that had failed, the camera would have crashed to the ground. Nevertheless, I'm going to order a replacement (and its replacement) because I don't think there's another product out there that works as well day to day. I just have to make a note to inspect it regularly.

Great Customer Service

I was very happy with the service. I bought a “camera sling“ and I thought I could attach their battery holder to the strap, but I was mistaken. I emailed them and they sent me some Velcro and told me how to do a workaround so that I could fix the problem. I think their customer service was great and their product was just fine. Thanks Terry for your assistance.

It protects my Sony RX100 VII

In addition to my Nikon Z6 II, I carry a Sony RX100 VII for the quick grab 'n go shots. The sling keeps the camera safely around my shoulders rather than the little wrist strap that could easily slip from my wrist and drop a $1200 point 'n shoot.

very comfortable

I modified mine so it had two clips rather than one, just a person preference.. very soft and comfortable around the neck

question

Does the camera when attached to the sling come out far enough from your body so you can see the rear screen well enough to frame the picture and will the strap allow the camera to come to eye level if you want to use the viewfinder?
Asked by: Anonymous
In answer to your question, yes the strap is long enough. I shoot using the view finder most of the time and have no problem using this strap.
