The Fiesol CM-1473 Rapid Monopod with 3 Support Legs is a sturdy one-legged carbon fiber camera support with a little something extra: three legs that flip out to form a miniature tripod at the base. With this function, you get the advantages of a monopod plus some extra tripod-type stability.

With the three legs extended, the CM-1473 can reach a maximum height of 6.72', and it supports up to 11 lb. The rubber-footed mini-legs, foam grip, and wrist strap all help keep things stable and secure. A reversible 3/8"-16 & 1/4"-20 mounting screw make it simple to attach a camera or a head for greater precision and control. The CM-1473 folds down to an easily handled 2' in length, and a carrying bag is included.

CM-1473 Rapid Monopod with 3 Support Legs is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from solid choice for photo Yes, it's solid and stable however, with some load it will vibrate in the wind even or especially with the three legs extended. True I was using it for video when I discovered that unfortunate fact, but I shoot photos all the time as well and one of the things you would do for shots requiring stable platform would be to take your hands of the support and use a wired shutter release to take photo(I do this all the time) the moment you let go of the column it sarts to vibrate, ruining the shot. I bet there are some weight and wind condition numbers required for that to occur but it does. I wanted to give it 5 stars because it is very solid but even with hanging a heavy weight on it it vibrates while shooting, had to return it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from solid choice for photo solid, however, it vibrates in the slightest wind with the 3 legs extended, completely defeating the purpose.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Should be called a tripod To extend the column, the tripod legs must be extended outward so the locking collars can be reached. The idea for a monopod is sacrifice some steadiness for speed. It is as STEADY as any monopod. Having to mobe the legs outward slows down any height adjustment you may want to make when using as monopos instead of a tri-legged monopod.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong and light Great monopod with supporting legs amazingly Light weight. I give it a 4-start because 1. The case is suitable only for the monopod, but not when the head is installed. What a pity. 2. I wish it comes with a small light weight head to mount the camera as well.
