FEISOL CT-3442 CC KIT Overview

The Feisol CT-3442 Center Column Kit delivers variable extra height to your existing Feisol CT-3442 Tournament Class Tripod. In addition to a center column, this kit includes an accessory weight hook, a center column mount, and a mounting screw removal tool. The 14.2" long center column is designed to be both strong and light weight, and even at maximum extension the 0.60 lb carbon fiber column remains stable and secure.

The CT-3442 center column has a one piece design, which allows it to provide approximately 11.9" of extra height to your CT-3442 tripod, yet still pack up compactly for transport or storage. The 2.4" mounting platform with its reversible 3/8" / 1/4"-20 mounting screw allows you flexibility in attaching Still Photo tripod heads.

I specifically bought the Feisol CT-3442 model because it didn't have a center column but I found that (for my needs) it's a real pain to make micro adjustments to height. I purchased the long column along with the short column. The long column installed in minutes and feels stable and secure and it can be swapped out for the short column in seconds. I don't plan on extending the column too much in use (small incriments), but it's nice to have the flexibility to do so without having to monkey around adjusting all of the legs. As a bonus with the center column, I can finally reverse the legs and actually get the tripod to fit nicely in its case (I have an Acratech ball head--which is a fantastic ball head, but it's not dainty, and I wasn't able to reverse the legs and store the tripod in its case, but with the long center column I can...happy day!)

Will this fit the Induro GIT204? It is a Systematic type tripod, series 2.

As we discussed, the Systematic series tripods use a different mounting system than the FEISOL Tournament series tripods (incl. the CT-3442).

Being that the FEISOL CT-3441T Traveler Rapid Carbon Fiber Tripod already has a center column, the Feisol CT-3442 Center Column Kit would not be compatible.

Can this center column be put into the tripod mount so the camera can be upside down right next to the ground between the tripod legs? This is for getting right to the ground level.

Will this (FEISOL CT-3442 Center Column Kit) work with the FEISOL 3401? That one says it has an optional center column, and it looks like it would work. If not, which center column set works with the Feisol 3401?

The mount of the CT-3442 does not work with the CT-3401. The correct Center Column for the CT-3401 is the CT-3401CCKit.
