Is the spike itself 1.2 or is the threaded portion included in that measurement?

question

Hi everyone, per Feisol, these spikes should fit the CT-3442, but I just can't screw the spikes in. Only a few threads can go in and it'll get stuck. It happens on all 3 legs and all 3 spikes, does anyone have a solution ?
Asked by: Leon
The Feisol Spikes are metric (M10-1.25 measured) and won't fit the majority of other tripods as almost all of the other tripods use english threads (3/8-16). If you are getting it to screw on only a few threads, I'm betting that you are experiencing a metric/English mismatch.

question

I note that these spikes fit the CT-3442, but how? The rubber feet appear glued to the feet.
Asked by: Alexander
I thought the same thing, but with a little gentle persuasion they do come off revealing the threaded holes. Enjoy, a great compact tripod! - Charlie

question

Will these spikes fit the CT-3442?
Asked by: Lawrence
I used them on the CT-3401 and they worked great; however I had to put a drop of removable loctite on to keep them on.
