    Sunpak DF3000 reviews

DF3000C Digital Flash for Nikon Cameras is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Flash for the Money I don't need a flash very often, but when I do, I want something stronger than the built-in flash on my Nikon. I just don't want to invest a lot of money in equipment I'll use only once in a while. The Sunpak DF3000N is a good fit. It's fast, reliable, plenty strong... and has the basic features I'm looking for. With an inexpensive softbox cover, It gives me the little bit of extra light I sometimes need shooting outdoors. And it does it at a very attractive price. It's not fancy pro lighting... but for my needs, it's perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice flash for the money Using this flash on A Nikon D3200. I've had it about a week. Could have spent more. But this flash seems to do the job well for everyday flash situations. And, I would recommend this unit to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great starter flash I picked up my DF3000N at @ for under $$to use with my Nikon D3200. It has met my need for an add on flash in every way. It has the options of Nikon flashes that cost hundreds of dollars more. Consider using a minimum of a 200 ISO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Sunpack - Fantastic Flash Super Sunpack - Fantastic Flash for my Nija Nikon D5100. Works perfect every time, but takes a little longer than I'd like to recycle ('course, we're all impatient these days!). All in all, a tremendous value! I recommend it without reservation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bargain Don't use a flash that often, but everyone must have some extra light in some situations. This flash is a great bargain. Have only tried it on a couple of trial shots and it works perfectly with the Nikon system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bang for the bucks. A good all purpose flash but don't expect alot of bells and whistles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dissapointed by manual zoom I guess I didn't do my homework. I have an older version Sunpak flash for Nikon with an auto zoom. I purchased this one as a gift for my daughter, assuming since it was newer, it would maintain and improve upon earlier features. But when I unpacked it I found that the zoom is literally a mechanical slide that physically moves the flash. Very klunky.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The build quality leaves a lot to be desired Sort story: bad build quality, wobbly flash head, loose wires inside battery compartment I wanted a flash that's smaller and more portable than my Sunpak DF4000U. The DF3000 seemed like it would be the smaller brother, with less features. Not quite. the first thing that struck me was the horrible stench of cheap, toasted plastic. It reminded me of my childhood days growing up in eastern Europe, where the only things we could afford were cheap electronics manufactured in China. The flash head has a lot of play. The swivel mechanism clicks into place, but the head still wobbles from side-to side. The wobble is large enough to put the light away from where I want it. Putting in the batteries is an acquired skill. Batteries will want to slide in the neighboring slots and block insertion of remaining batteries., It's not difficult once you figure it out, but it's a skill I did not need with any other flash unit. Speaking of the battery compartment, I can see loose wires inside, being pinched in-between plastic walls. I would not expect this flash to last.
