The Micro Clamp from Impact is a handy accessory that can be used in a myriad of ways around the studio or on location. Lightweight and sturdy, it can clamp onto tubes with a maximum diameter of 1.38" (35 mm) and has a load capacity of 2.2 lbs (1.0kg). It features a 5/8" (16 mm) socket at its base. Optional accessories include Impact's CA100 Double Ended Spigot with 1/4"-20 and many other adapters and spigots.

Can I attach a microphone (5/8 ) clip?
You probably can but it requires a few pieces of intermediate hardware: First get the Micro Clamp with Spigot Kit, then get a 3/8 female to 5/8 male adapter. Attach your 5/8 female mic clip. Voila!
