JMR Electronics BlueStor 16 Bay SAS Expander with SAS/SATA Disk Drive Bays (48 TB)

The BlueStor16 Bay SAS Expander with SAS/SATA Disk Drive Bays (48 TB) from JMR Electronics features 16 hot-swappable SAS/SATA 3 Gbps or 6 Gbps disk drive bays with fully redundant power and cooling via hot-swappable modules. The SAS Expander offers high performance and signal integrity, with cooler operating disk drives while using no cables in the data path and vertically installed disk drives. The BlueStor disk canisters are uniquely designed from lightweight and low-cost resin that reduces drive vibration while providing excellent air flow. Each canister features an integrated light pipe, latching handle and single modular EMI shield. The BlueStor SAS Expander features dual 4x SAS ports for host connectivity and concatenation to additional storage units using low-cost multilane SAS cables. It is compatible with all SAS and SATA2 [3.5" (8.89 cm) form factor] disk drives as well as with many host adapters and SAS RAID controllers. The SAS Expander and PeSAN3U rackmount uses interchangeable FRUs for easy expandability and low spares cost. The SAS or SATA II drives can be connected to the SAS JBOD Expander. For high performance environments, the use of SAS disk drives provides maximum bandwidth and I/O for data intensive applications.
