Mandatory for a stuffed day pack

This strapette is mandatory for a mountainsmith Day Lubar Pack or the larger Evo packs. Lumbar packs keep your back cooler in the summer and frequently don't move around as much when jogging or jumping a gap. Multiple water bottles for the dogs and myself (or a water filter), a little closed cell insulated jobbie I made myself for the trout, your lures, a first aid kit, treats, cellphone, the list goes on. I still really like lumbar packs over full sized backpacks for day trips. You know in College in Flagstaff, a guy made perfect lumbar packs built around a 12-pack of beer. Called them Kokopelli Designs. As with the the old design and mountainsmith's newer design, you could mount a snow shovel to dig out your partner for winter rescues as well. I still have one of the old ones left on its last legs. I wonder if mountainsmith copied his design?

was able to try them this past week. worked great once I figured out the front connection, not real intuitive. They were hard to find, been looking waiting for mountainsmith to get some and finally googled it and found B & H had some, thought they were a little on the pricey side but it was the only place i could find them.
