What cable is needed? Do you have?
The Zoom AD-17 AC Adapter has a USB Type-A connector and the cable you will need is dependent on the type of connector on the device you will be using it with. For example, if you will be using the Zoom H1n Portable Handy Recorder, then you will need a cable that has a micro-USB connector on the other side like the Belkin Boost Charge USB Type-A to Micro-USB Cable - 3.3', Black (B&H # BEUAMCUC3BLK).

Is there a reason I couldn't use a different USB ...
Is there a reason I couldn't use a different USB AC adapter (like one for the iPhone) to charge an H6?
I'm not 100% certain in this case, but when it comes to AC adaptors you must pay close attention to 1) Input Volts 2) Output Volts and 3) Output Amps.
This Zoom AD-17 can take an Input Volts of 100 - 240V meaning it can work in the USA or Europe.
The Output Volts is 5V. This is very important because if your device is expecting more power than that or less power than that it can ruin your device by using the wrong AC.
The Output Amps is 1.0A. This is the rate or speed at which the 5V is being delivered to the device. If you use an iPhone adaptor that uses 2.0A or 2.4A amps (the high-speed chargers) it's possible that the adaptor can overcharge the device and ruin it. Some high-speed adaptors can automatically step down to delivering 1.0A amps instead. But I don't know for certain how a high-speed iPhone adaptor does that when it's connected to something that's not an iPhone. Also I'm not certain that an iPhone uses exactly 5V. Usually an iPhone charger is trying to recharge a battery as fast as possible. This is an AC adaptor that delivers a steady 5V at a current of 1.0A. I'm not certain if the two are compatible. I don't know enough by what iPhone chargers normally deliver. But I'd say in this case get a dedicated AC that does exactly 5V at 1.0A rather than any USB charger. You don't want to ruin your H6 trying to save money on an adaptor or by using the wrong adaptor out of convenience.
If you find a comparable USB charger that does 5V at 1.0A you'll probably be fine. But if you're not 100% certain buy the manufacture's recommended one. I would avoid an iPhone charger in this case.

question
Can I power my H4N with my cell phone USB charger?
The H4n can be powered via AA battery or the DC input jack only when using as a standalone recorder. The USB Bus power functionality is only available when the H4n is used as an SD card reader or an audio interface connected to a computer.

Is the Zoom AD-17 A/C adapter recommended for Zoom AMS-44 audio interface
Yes, the Zoom AD-17 AC Adapter is recommended for use with the Zoom AMS-44 USB-C Audio Interface for applications where an external power supply is required, such as connecting to a smartphone or tablet. The AMS-44 can also be powered using two AA batteries. When connecting to a computer's USB port, power is supplied directly from the computer and no additional power source is needed.
