Vortex CF2-31029 overview

  • 1Description

The 6-18x44 AO Crossfire II Riflescope (V-Brite) from Vortex Optics is a cost-effective yet durable variable power riflescope. The 6-18x magnification is ideal for intermediate to long-range hunting and target practice. A nitrogen purged and o-ring sealed aluminum housing is built to perform in driving rain and extreme humidity. This model of the Crossfire II is configured with a V-Brite reticle and low-profile capped windage/elevation turrets. The wide 44mm objective lens features enhanced light gathering ability that is well-suited for performance in low light conditions. An included sunshade prevents stray light that can degrade image quality from entering the field of view. A fast focus eyepiece, parallax error correction, and generous eye relief make the Crossfire II a full-featured scope for sportsmen.

Illuminated V-Brite Reticle
An illuminated center dot enhances targeting in low light, ideal for dusk/dawn and foggy conditions.
Anti-Reflective Lens Coating
Fully multicoated optics and an additional anti-reflective coating on the objective and the ocular lenses ensure transmission of bright detail-rich images throughout the entire magnification range.
Rugged Construction
The one-piece aerospace aluminum housing is anodized for a durable non-reflective finish. Each optical element is held in place by machined locking rings that ensure perfect lens alignment even after intense recoil and rapid fire. Additionally, the interior is nitrogen purged and o-ring sealed, preventing driving rain and extreme humidity from fogging the optics.
Adjustable Objective
The focus ring on the objective bell enables parallax error correction and helps ensure accuracy at the far end of the magnification range.
VIP Unconditional Warranty
This unlimited, unconditional, fully transferable, hassle free warranty is almost unheard of in the optics industry. Whether damaged by the owner or a manufacturing defect, Vortex Optics will repair or replace the scope at no charge.

    Vortex CF2-31029 reviews

6-18x44 AO Crossfire II Riflescope (V-Brite) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome optics, terrible newb choice.... This is an outstanding scope for the money. BUT, I bought it for my first deer rifle. I had images in my head of bagging a 30 pointer at 300 yards. Problem is, I live and hunt in Wisconsin. Being that I never had hunted before, I was clueless. On opening day I had deer after deer run by my stand. I could not acquire a target because this was too much scope and they were too close. No fault of Vortex, the Crossfire II is awesome! it was my own learning curve. Long story short, if you are a new person to hunting, I would speak with someone experienced and have them recommend the appropriate power scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent optic. When I purchased my new 6.5CM, I needed a new scope for it. You just can't put old optics on a new gun. So, I talked to some co-workers about their optics choice and why. Being a hard core Nikon fan, I was sceptical. I thought this is another over priced cheap scope, but I'll give it a try. What could it hurt since they have a lifetime warranty. I've had the Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x44 AO for a little over a year now and I will say it is the best optic I've ever owned. I don't baby my guns, so it's been bounced around a few times and still holds zero. This is truly the best scope that is in this price range hands down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good scope for the money This is a very nice scope for the money. The magnification range is generous, the clarity of the scope is also very good compared with other scopes in the same price range that I have looked through. The cross hairs are thin enough to still see a target center that is 1/4 MOA. Downsides to this scope: adjusting parallax is a little tighter than I would like. Also the ring on mine that has the stops and the parallax adjustment markings actually fell off after about 100 rounds of fire with a 30-06. Of course Vortex immediately emailed me a packing slip, and had the scope back to me within 10 days. Impeccable customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scope I put this scope on a Savage Model 12 and I really like it. The glass is crisp, and the adjustments are audible and tactile. The sharp small dot reticle makes it easy to hold on the small target dots I like to shoot at (1/2). I was doing some load development yesterday and found a couple of promising loads which averaged around .7 5-shot groups @ 100 yards. The smallest groups were in the .5 range and probably could have been better, but I was in a rush so I didn't let the barrel cool and I rushed a few shots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I highly recommend to everyone! I bought this scope about 5 months ago and fell in love! For the money it's excellent! I have it on my Remington 700 in .270 and shoots out to 600 yards, great scope doesn't get foggy on cold snowy days in the woods! I've dropped it once and bumped it around a good many times still holds a zero perfectly! Vortex in my go to brand now! Highly recommended to everyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for money! I did a lot of research on value for money scopes and from my research this was definitely the front runner. I bought it for just over £200 and I was not disappointed. Crisp clear picture. Have tested on the range up to 300 yards and was still very clear even on x18 magnification. Have been out early in the morning in a high seat and could still get a clear picture in poor light. Really happy with my purchase and would highly recommended!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scope! Better than expected! I purchased this 6-18X Crossfire for a 17 HMR rifle and a 4-12X Crossfire for a .22 Cal rimfire rifle at the local Cabelas store. Both rifles were to be used in my local club's rimfire rifle matches. The screw on sun shades and the adjustable objective lenses initially drew me to these scopes. This turned out to be money well spent. Both scopes exceeded my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap/reliable! I was putting a long range .308 together with a budget! This riflescope was a great choice. The glass is very clear and zeroed nicely. For a while there I couldn’t keep it’s zero and took it to vortex personally and they tested it turns out nothing was wrong with it. Happen that my screwes on my base mount we’re coming loose!
