Vortex CF2-31003 overview

  • 1Description

The Crossfire II 2-7x32 Riflescope (Matte Black) from Vortex Optics offers all the desirable features of a riflescope at a popular price. This Crossfire comes with a Dead-Hold BDC reticle and a fixed parallax setting of 100 yards. The Dead-Hold BDC reticle has four long posts creating a narrow gate where fine cross hairs establish the exact point of aim. Hash marks on the horizontal stadia give the shooter the ability to judge proper hold over for accurate long range shot placement. Also at the ocular end, a fast focus eyepiece allows immediate target acquisition while the magnification ring dispenses immediate zoom in or zoom out ability for a closer more detailed view or a more expansive bigger picture view. Fully multicoated optics deliver a brighter, higher-contrast image.

The Crossfire II is built tough. A one inch, one-piece, hard-coated, anodized, aluminum body creates a shockproof construction. The tube is filled with nitrogen gas to inhibit internal fogging and is o-ring sealed waterproof to prevent moisture, dust, and debris from getting inside. Machined locking rings lock the lenses in place, keeping them in perfect alignment despite recoil and impact. The windage and elevation turrets are capped making them less susceptible to accidental damage or setting changes. The turret housing can be re-indexed to zero after sighting. This is a practical riflescope at practical price.

To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and the rings attach your scope to the base. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure that a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith's skills will be needed for proper installation.

    Vortex CF2-31003 reviews

Crossfire II 2-7x32 Riflescope (Matte Black) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from How is this level of quality, this affordable? Upon my grandfather’s passing, I inherited his left handed Stag AR15. Grandpa was an iron sights guy, but I felt the rifle deserved an optic. After deciding on a lower magnification scope I was excited to learn that Vortex made a very affordable 2-7 power in the crossfire line. I ordered the scope through a local dealer and half wondered if it was too good to be true at such a price. I was not wrong in assuming that anything with the Vortex name on it is quality regardless of price. The build quality, glass clarity and finish all speak of something that should have cost much more. I still can’t believe an optic this good cost what it did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scope This is the third Vortex scope I've bought. I had the scope mounted and bore sighted and took it to the range to sight it in. I was incredibly frustrated when I could not hit the target at 50 yards. THEN I discovered it was low by about 4 inched and wide by over a foot - so much for the bore sighting. But once I found where it was hitting in just a few round i was placing bullets in the bulls eye within an inch at 100 yards. I haven't tried longer distances - yet! Great scope, clear, and easy adjustments. Recommend Vortex to anyone who wants a great scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear view everytime! I bought this for my Ruger 10/22 with the BDC, and I was finally able to take it small game hunting, and by far this scope was purely awesome! The clarity of the cross-hair was great in all lighting conditions with minimal sunlight peering through throughout the day. Some might say it's overkill for a .22lr rifle but I think this is the perfect setup with a 50 yard zero.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scope that works perfectly atop my 30-30. I own several vortex products and this is the least expensive out of all of them, yet it sees the most real world use atop my 30-30 hunting rifle. Absolutely love the quality of my crossfire even more so given the price point. I chose this because I needed something FAST and cost effective and have had luck with other Vortext optics in the past. This unit has FAR exceeded my expectations for a scope in this price range with quality equivalent to other manufacturers scopes at 4x the cost. I highly recommend not only this specific unit, but most other Vortex products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Scope, Even Better Price!! The quality of glass on this optic is unbelievable, it is crystal clear!! I bought a 2-7x32 for my AR with the intent of using it for varmint hunting and target shooting. I have yet to use it in a hunting application but every time I hit the range I am reminded of the quality of products that Vortex offers. After getting a few months of experience behind this product I have decided to ditch the optics that are on my other rifles in order to replace them with Vortex!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely an excellent piece of glass! I bought this directly from Vortex. I had a few questions and Travis answered all of them very promptly! After mounting the CF2 to my Ruger American Ranch 450 Bushmaster using Warne Maxima rings, I zeroed at 100 meters in about 5 minutes. At max zoom (7) I could see the POI for each shot and adjust accordingly. The turrets are very accurate which makes adjustments fewer with no loss of ammunition due to guess work. The glass is super clear and transfers light beautifully! Especially for a 32mm end bell! Great scope Vortex! And thank you Travis for assisting me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Glass I put this on my Ar-15 and absolutly love it. It has really nice glass and is easy to pull up with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Scope I purchased this scope for my 300blk on an AR platform for hunting. I was a little hesitant as I usually go with the 3x9 but the lower profile worked out better. Sighting in was super easy and the eye relief is amazing. The clarity of this optic along with the VIP warranty.... this is a no brainer. Drop the gold ring cult and give this a chance. You won’t be disappointed.
