The hahnel Giga T Pro II 2.4 GHz Wireless Timer Remote for Canon combines the functions of a wireless remote shutter release and a remote timer into a single very useful accessory operating at 2.4 GHz with a range of 328'. Using the small, lightweight receiver and transmitter (batteries included) you have access to programmable features such as a self timer, interval timer, long exposure setting, and exposure count--all of which may be used in any combination, making the possibilities nearly limitless. There is no limit to the possible number of exposures, and an exposure as long as 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds can be programmed.

The Giga T Pro II has a Transmitter On/Off button to save battery power. It also has two timing loops, one embedded in the other. This allows you to repeat the original timed program as many times as required. You can also use the original program feature to create a timed 10-minute series of astral shots. You can then set this program to repeat at hourly intervals. In addition, you can set up a basic program which allows you to set up a timed shooting sequence, defining the delay, number of shots, interval shots and so on.

This is a necessary addition to your kit bag for time-lapse or other long exposure photography, including astral photography, wildlife photography and studio photography.

The Giga T Pro II is not compatible with the Giga T Pro.

Giga T Pro II 2.4 GHz Wireless Timer Remote for Canon Cameras is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I wish I'd known . . . So far this is working well. It does what it claims, and the remote control has been MUCH better than the Vello Shutterboss (which frequently doesn't register with the receiver). It is also smaller than the Vello Shutterboss transmitter. Like the Vello Shutterboss, the transmitter and receiver can be turned on by pushing a button. This means you need to be careful when carrying it in your bag so you don't drain the battery. To make it worse, you need a teeny tiny Phillips screwdriver to change the battery on the transmitter. I need to find one and make sure I bring it with me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT! I have been looking for a relatively inexpensive remote control for my Canon 5DIII for both wildlife and family pictures (where I could actually be in the picture for a change. What I liked the most - This remote was simply easy to set-up. Once I got the channels synchronized, the control and ability to take pictures from a distance was perfect. Since it is a wireless remote, line of sight is not needed nor do you have to be in front of the camera. While the price may seem to be a bit high, if you are looking for a dependable and easy-to-use remote, this is your product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good remote for timelapse Works as expected. I'm using it both for timelapse and regular remote trigger. Wireless is very useful, especially for self-portraits. :) It's small, light and quite easy to use. Build quality could be better, but it would probably increase weight and price, so.. maybe it's better like that. Unlimited pictures can be setup but you'll have to use the second timer (the system includes two timers for more fun). It took me 5 minutes to get that. The minimum interval between shots seems to be 1 second. I might need a shorter time, but I think it's ok for most applications. I'm happy with it and would definitely buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does everything It does remote shooting for a good distance. I use it with my 7D and a pair of binoculars at bird nests and a wild honey bee hive deep in the woods. For time lapse photography, you write a simple program and then hit start. It will countdown time between shots and shots remaining. It can shoot 99 photos per program run and the program can be repeated 99 times before start program has to be reset. It can also shoot a cluster of shots with intervals in between. Great gadget for astrophotography. Lots of fun

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked extremely well in arctic conditions I purchased this in a panic when my Vello Shutterboss arrived and didn't work just before my trip to the arctic circle to see the northern lights. This was an awesome buy, so pleased with it - it kept going even when out in the freezing wind for hours. well constructed and easy to use. Very easy to use for a novice like me, with other functions I can learn later. I'd recommend attaching a piece of tape to the camera end of the cable -in the cold/dark that made attaching it in the field much faster with no fiddling. Highly recommend this remote, it had all the functions I needed and easy to use plus more features that I look forward to learning how to use. Highly recommend this remote.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile little device Bought this as an intervalometer to use for time lapse. Due to its small size and light weight, also works well as remote trigger that is easily portable ( just carried it thorough the slot canyons of Utah). Can set up rather complex timing of intervals and allows delayed start( useful last night as I wanted to wait for the moon to set and didn't have to stay awake to do it). Only gripe is that directions not as clear as some but with practice easy enough to figure out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great Took me awhile to figure out how to use it but got on line and found some tutorials and took my first set of star trail photos in S. America using the Southern Cross as my axis. Perfecto!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome wireless Remote This is my second wireless remote and second intervalometer. My first wireless remote always seemed to be dead, there was no switch to turn off the transmitter. The Giga T Pro II has an on/off switch for both the transmitter and receiver. The system works great once you read the directions and figure out what all of the functions and displays mean. It works really well, I am very happy with it.
