Impact LS-CS40M Reviews
Heavy But its a C-Stand
I've now had this a while and always take it in a car. I always have to take the base off. It's larger than a regular C-stand. Don't get me wrong, works fine. But if I was looking again, I'd only get this one for a studio where I didn't have to travel with it.
Sturdy and Easy to Use
I brought this because my cheap light stand is so flimsy and I don't want to pay too much on a stand. This C-Stand is beyond my expectations! It's a solid product with sturdy construction. It's easy to extend and collapse. I will never worry about knocking it down by careless movement.
Super solid, durable
I've never touched a new C-stand before. So far though, as solid as you would hope, with nice details like the rubber O-rings and the great locking mechanism for the legs. I like the black version.
Easy to use
Easy to use and clean disassembly.
Big and heavy, but that's a good thing
I definitely did not look at the specs when I ordered these. WOW, talk about huge stands. Happy to report that my first foray into C-stands instead of cheap light stands is positive: these are SUPER sturdy, quite heavy, and they feel practically unbreakable. Definitely what I needed considering my new lights all weigh 8-10lb each. No worries about them on these stands, and the best part is that the bases can be easily removed so they easily fit in my not-large-enough car for transport. Thrilled to have gotten a high quality product for my hard earned money.
Solid and well made C-Stand
Impact C-Stand with Quick Release Sliding Leg with Grip Arm is a must have for your studio work. It's versatile and designed to position lights, flags, backdrops, etc. Excellent Quality Product! Impact Products are well made and milled with good rigid quality materials! B&H has a large selection of their products.
Does the job it's needed to do.
If you're working professionally, use this. If you're working as an amateur (as I used to be) I suppose the cheaper options are fine. OH MAN what a difference these made in my work.
Seems incomplete, not spring loaded and no 650 pin.
Great solid stand, strange that it is not spring loaded like my cheaper light stand is for my pro[master cool light rig. Also I found it very strange there is no 650 pin included, so I was mounting my light on the opposite end of the boom knuckle like some kind of clueless idiot. I also bought an Impact 7' Luxbanx which did not come with the smaller speed ring to mount it's support rods into a bowens mount on my speed light. I guess Impact likes to leave you incomplete and scratching your head. If I get a second turtle-based C-Stand it will not be the Impact brand I can tell you that.
