The Axis Communications M3113-R Ultra-Discreet Fixed Network Camera (10 Pack) is specifically designed for use in buses, trains, subway cars, and emergency vehicles. In addition to being dust and water resistant, the M3113-R Camera can withstand vibrations, shocks, bumps, and temperature fluctuations. The camera's flat chassis design helps it maintain a low profile appearance in addition to minimizing interference with the free movement of passengers. An integrated dehumidifying membrane keeps the viewing window from fogging up in high humidity. The camera also has the ability to activate an alarm when it senses the lens being blocked, spray painted or otherwise tampered with.
The Ultra-discreet Camera delivers consistently clear and sharp images at SVGA resolution thanks to its 1/4" RGB CMOS sensor and 2.9mm lens. Featuring progressive scan technology, rest assured that you will get smooth image capture for scenes with fast moving objects.
A number of electronic picture controls allow images to be fine tuned according to the lighting environment of the surveillance area. Furthermore, backlight compensation adjusts video gain to correct the exposure when the object is in front of a bright light source. The white balance feature adjusts the red, green, and blue colors taking a standard white reference to get clear images. The Network Camera includes features such as privacy masking, text and image overlay, exposure and control.
For video compression, the M3113-RNetwork Camera transmits multiple streams in H.264 and MJPEG video formats at either full frame rates or individually optimized for different quality needs and bandwidth constraints.
A unique feature of this camera is its pixel counter function, which calculates the number of pixels contained in a given part of the image, for example a person's face. This is an important feature for satisfying certain jurisdictions requiring proof of resolution before an image can be submitted for evidence.
The M3113-R Camera is designed for quick and reliable installation. Installers can use the supplied lens tool to direct and rotate the ball that holds the lens and image sensor to achieve an accurate viewing angle. This lens tool can also be used to focus or remove the lens if a different lens is needed. Power over Ethernet (PoE) supplies power via the Ethernet cable, making it easier to install the camera most anywhere and not only near a power supply; additionally, eliminating the need for power cables and reducing installation costs.
The Network Camera supports advanced network protocols such as HTTPs encryption. The camera comes with an open Application Programming Interface (API) and VAPIX from Axis Communications. It also supports Quality of Service (QoS) to maximize network efficiency.
