The STX825 Two-Way Dual 15" Passive Speaker by JBL is a high performance and simplistic solution for sound reinforcement. A pair of STX825s and a single, high-power amplifier provides a complete sound system capable of low-end support or full-range audio reproduction. Comprised of two 15" Vented Gap Cooled woofers and a 4" neodymium compression driver, the STX825 can provide 1,600W of continuous sound. Rated at 3,200W program and 6,400W peak with a maximum SPL of 136dB, the STX825 is more than enough for a mid-sized club or venue.
The 90 by 50° horn provides wide audience coverage. Bi-amp or full-range passive operation may be selected by means of a recessed, high current switch mounted on the input plate. The enclosure is constructed of birch/poplar laminate plywood and coated in JBL's rugged DuraFlex finish. The attractive CNC-machined, 14-gauge steel grille wraps around the sides of the enclosure so there are no protruding lips on the front of the box to create acoustical interference. The grilles are internally lined with acoustically transparent foam to provide additional driver protection and give a very professional appearance. For applications requiring suspension, the enclosure is fitted with twelve M10 suspension points.
