SHAPE HSM Reviews

Too low of tolerance

The square piece that fits into the shoe is too small, which means no matter how much you tighten it down, it has enough room to still rotate in the shoe. That’s an annoying problem already since whatever it’s connecting to has a few degrees of play, but if you also let it wiggle around for a day of shooting, it’s able to move itself right off the shoe if you aren’t careful. Seemed promising based on material and whatnot, just not properly sized to ever risk using.

Like all hot shoe adapters I found the problem always is keeping the screws tight on the item I'm attaching to the camera. The screw that tightens down the hot shoe stays tight, but the upper one needs checking occassionaly.Having said that, this one is better at staying tight than most others I've had.
