Datavideo DN-700 Overview

The Datavideo DN-700 Rack-Mount Hard Drive Recorder is a file-based video recorder that stores to an HDD or SSD in AVI and M2T formats. M2T is friendly to Premiere and Avid and can be converted to ProRes for Final Cut.

Two 2.5" HDD/SSD enclosures along with a 320GB HDD come included. One slot is available for an enclosure. The HDD inserts into the enclosure, and the enclosure into the slot. An SSD can optionally be used. When ready for editing, just eject the enclosure and unload its contents to a Mac or PC by USB. You can also work directly over the USB connection, without unloading the files.

Main connections are composite and DV / hi-def FireWire.
