I bought these koss headphones because i love the porta pros but they kept snapping on me. With the help of my b&h rep, I decided to try these out as the structure is a bit sturdier. I think they sound absolutely great for this price range, and they are perfectly light for my ears!

Awesome for the price, one caveat

These things sound great. Full stop. Great. They might be slightly less tuned Koss Porta-Pro's. They're light and cheap. Here's the rub, for me anyway... I am a big man with a big, fat head. These just don't quite fit and don't swivel enough to fit my melon. So I suspect that if you're small or medium in size these will be truly awesome. If you're big, they might be comfortable or not. If they fit they are the biggest bargain in headphones. Remember this type of headphone allows external sounds in and leaks sound out - that's just what they do.

Depends on the laptop. The headphones have a 3.5mm TRS plug (the kind the most laptops have) with a 1/4" TRS adapter that snaps on and off (at least mine came with the adapter).
