The Avid Pro Tools HD Native PCIe card is a component of a Pro Tools HD Native system, which according to Avid, is the lowest-latency host-based DAW on the market. Compatible with both Mac and Windows, HD Native is the most economical way to get into HD, and the card comes bundled with Pro Tools 10 HD software.
With the addition of one or more Pro Tools HD Series audio interfaces (not included), you'll have a complete system capable of recording and playing back audio at up 32-bit, 192 kHz quality. You also get the additional headroom and higher mix resolution of 64-bit, floating-point processing, along with extremely low latency.
An HD Native system provides up to 256 audio tracks and 64 I/O channels, and gives you professional features such as advanced automation, surround mixing, input monitoring, AFL/PFL solo, destructive punch, and more. For tracking, the integrated low-latency monitoring mode offers set-and-forget direct-monitoring capabilities.
The bundled Pro Tools HD software comes with 49 effects, processing, and utility plug-ins; and seven virtual instruments. Pro Tools HD Native systems are compatible with a range of Avid consoles and control surfaces including System 5, S5 Fusion, C-24, MC Pro Artist Series, and ICON D-Command and D-Control.
