Chimera White/Black Reviews
A solid solid!
My only wish for this product is that it had a cloth side for the black. The shiny black can actually can still reflect some light when used as a negative fill. But other than that it's a great buy. Solid construction overall, and the white side is a different flavor of ultrabounce than other options that I've seen. It's a nice piece of kit to have in the arsenal. A must have is the panel frame from Chimera, they are so light and quick to setup.
The quaulity of the product is very good...thick durable fabric which i am sure will stand the test of time. the whit side has a shine to help it reflective nature and i like that as apposed to a flat whit finish.
Very well made
What I recognized about this 6'x6' panel is that it is made out of the same material as the white interior Chimera soft boxes. Very well made.
Fantastic bounce material
I bought this to go with my Matthews Roadflags II 48x48 frame. At first I was worried it didn't fit, but a little stretch of the elastic and it fit perfectly. The white bounce is soft with a touch of punch. The white side has a little bit of sheen to it... when you angle it directly at talent, you get the flat white fill plus a touch more specular.
Not crazy for the white fabric.
The white fabric has a shiny reflective purpose. It's good for some things but not for what I bought it for. I purchased it to use as a backdrop, not as a reflector. The description does refer to it as Reflector Fabric though. My expectations were too high.
