Sonnet Echo Express Pro PCIe Thunderbolt Expansion Chassis

The Echo Express Pro PCIe Thunderbolt Expansion Chassis from Sonnet is used for PCIe cards that enable you to connect two high-performance PCIe 2.0 adapter cards, to any computer with a Thunderbolt port. This rugged and portable chassis allows you to use full-size professional video capture, audio interface, 8 Gb Fibre Channel, 10 Gigabit Ethernet and RAID controller cards with your new iMac, Mac mini, MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.

The Echo Express Pro PCIe Thunderbolt Expansion Chassis supports two standard-width, full-length cards or one double-width, full-length PCIe 2.0 card and it has 150 W built-in power supply.

The chassis has ventilated front and back panels as well as quiet and temperature controlled fans that help keep the cards cool, and when not needed, the fans slow down. Universal power supplies are integrated inside the chassis so there are no dangling power bricks. Two Thunderbolt ports support daisy chaining of up to six devices to a single port on your computer such as an additional Echo Express, the Apple Thunderbolt Display, video capture devices and data storage devices. For connected devices requiring extra power, 10 W power supply is provided through the daisy chain port to peripherals.
