Used these for mounting two Brinno TLC 200 pro timelapse cameras to document home construction.The cameras have been in place since Septmber 2013.They have held the cameras securely in the worst weather- high winds & -15 below(the cameras continued working also-even more amazing).

can extensions be added to this arm for example if we need to to be 18 inches instead of 9 ? I am looking for a wall mount that can be swung out of the way for a small camera so when we use the camera we will swing it out when we are not using the camera it can be stored against the wall

Yes, I have ordered many of these units and mixed and matched the poles to make several mounts of varying sizes. Each pole extension uses the same 1/4 -20 screw size, so even the camera could mount directly to the pole rather than the ball mount.
