The Z-Finder 3.2" Mounting Frame for DSLRs from Zacuto is an aluminum frame designed for use with 3.2" DSLR display screens and a Gorilla plate (sold separately), in order to attach a Z-Finder Pro to the back of the camera. It can quickly and easily be snapped off in order to switch between shooting photos or videos. It is compatible with any make or model of camera so long as it has a 3.2" display, and it comes with an outstanding Lifetime Warranty from the manufacturer.

Zacuto Z-MFS32 Overview

For use with "small body" DSLRs with 3.2" LCD display sizes, including the Canon 5D Mark III and Nikon D800

Aircraft Aluminum frame must be used in conjunction with the Gorilla plate (sold separately)

Z-Finder frame attaches to the Gorilla plate with two thumb screws, and the Gorilla plate is attached to the bottom of your camera

A soft rubber coating affixes the frame to the LCD display via pressure, preventing scratches or abrasions from the frame onto the body

Z-Finder snaps into the frame and can quickly snap off for going between video and photos

After upgrading from the M2 to the M3, this became essential to be able to see the full LCD for proper framing. Solid built, although very sticky when trying to remove the finder when not in use. I hope that's a good thing - at least the finder won't fall off.

I've used the Zacuto finder for years with other camera bodies. So when I bought a D810 I just needed to buy a new frame not the whole thing just the new Mounting frame fro a 3.2 screen which is nice they made it like that. Works good just like I thought it would cause using the live view in bright sun is horrible this makes it livable.

Will this have sufficient reach, and will it work ...

Will this have sufficient reach, and will it work well with, a Nikon z6 (with FTZ adapter) and either of smallrig’s cages and their support bracket for the Nikon FTZ adapter? If not, can you suggest bracket or a cage that will work with z6 and FTZ? Thank you.

Will this combination be ok with Canon Mark 3 (Zacuto Gorilla Plate V2 and Zacuto Z-Finder 3.2 Mounting Frame for DSLRs or do you have a kit that has this without the viewfinder)?
