The Kupo Tripod Base allows free-standing use of the Kupole in situations where the ceiling is too high or unstable, as with a drop ceiling. The base is especially useful for shooting outdoors. Simply remove the Kupole's bottom rubber pad, slide the pole through the base, and replace the pad.

does this rust if exposed to water?
This base can handle water and should be wiped down after being exposed to it. This is especially the case with salt water which can be corrosive.

Will it work with the impact auto poles?
Hi,The Kupole base accepts 45mm diameter tubes.Lower diameter of the Kupoles is 45mm and the upper pole is 40mm. Regards,Will H.
