The Cambo weight bags have a Velcro tab on the underside. Lift the tab and in the centre of the pad on the bag open the small slot. I use a funnel and a piece of plastic tubing appropriately gaffer taped together. Insert the tubing into the bag and then fill the bag with steel shot by pouring it into the funnel. Very easy, very efficient and a great way to finely balance the boom but have fingertip control of its position without the need to lock down the boom position. Brilliant solution. By the way, use a fridge magnet to clean up any spilled steel shot.
Works like a sandbag should.

Only complaint is they don't come with a hook or such to attach it to my boom.
