The Avantone PS-1 Pro Shield is a metal pop screen designed to reduce plosive sounds like "p", "b", "t", and "k" from getting onto your vocal recordings. It's designed with an acoustically transparent, metal grill that's curved to match the typical grill shape of studio mics, making close positioning easier. Piping all around the screen keeps any sharp metal from being exposed. The PS-1 Pro Shield is attached to a goose neck and a clamp assembly that easily tightens onto a mic stand. It can be washed with soap and water for easy cleaning between sessions.

Avantone Pro PS1 Reviews
Perfection
I use this with my AT2020 for casual voiceover and calling, and it has completely removed all plosives from my voice, while being easy to use and sturdy. Only issue is that the retention screw was a bit too short for my mic stand, I had to bend it into position for it to fit properly. Other than that however, I don't regret this purchase whatsoever. It's large enough to cover your mic, but not overly so to block your view. Perfect for using it with a monitor.
This made a HUGE difference
I'm actually amazed at how much of a difference this pop filter made in my voice over recordings. I was having difficulty with popping Ts and hissing on every S and I took off the foam ball that came with my mic and put this filter on, about an inch from the mic, and not only are the popping and hissing completely gone, but without the foam, my voice is much clearer and richer. I'm using a $60 Samson Q2U mic that can be plugged directly into the computer's USB port, so for a little more than $100 I'm getting really professional sound.
