Compact and versatile, the DCS-942L Enhanced Wireless N IR Network Camera from D-Link can easily bring video surveillance to your home or small office. With a 1/5" CMOS image sensor, the network camera captures clear images at a resolution up to 640 x 480 at 30 fps using H.264, MPEG-4, and MJPEG compression. Along with a built-in IR-cut filter that can be removed automatically at night, this camera is equipped with four IR LEDs to capture clear images at night of subjects up to 16' away. In addition, a Passive Infrared (PIR) motion-detection sensor is useful to trigger recordings and send e-mail alerts in occurrence of an event.
The camera supports wireless 802.11n connectivity to offer remote monitoring over the network. You can even watch recorded videos on your mydlink-enabled devices such as iPhone, iPad or Android smartphones to keep an eye on your home or office premises when you're away. Other connectivity includes a standard wired Ethernet port and it has a 1/8" audio out port that works with a built-in microphone for full two-way audio.
The IP camera includes the D-ViewCam software that allows you to manage up to 32 network cameras, send e-mail alert notifications, set recording schedules, and trigger motion detection to record directly to your hard drive. Apart from this, the software can also be used to upload your business floor plan and create a layout of the exact locations of your cameras, thereby simplifying camera management.
