The Urbanears Zinken Headphones (Tomato) are designed with DJs in mind, but will appeal to music lovers, as well. They're equipped with 40mm dual-diaphragm drivers, and they reproduce a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
The included TurnCable is a detachable coiled cord that features a 1/8" (3.5mm) jack on one end and a 1/4" jack on the other. These correspond to two female connectors: 1/4" on one ear cup and 1/8" on the other. To plug the Zinkens into a smartphone, iPad, laptop, or other 1/8" source, use the TurnCable's 1/8" jack on the device end and plug the 1/4" jack into the corresponding ear-cup input. DJs and others connecting to a 1/4" source need simply do the reverse.
The 1/8" female connector on the ear cup is referred to as the ZoundPlug. Not only is it an input, but it can also function as an output, providing a duplicate feed to another pair of headphones.
The headphones also come equipped with a microphone and remote, which are compatible with iPhones, Blackberrys, HTC smartphones, and other mobile devices. The ear cups swivel, which is a must-have feature for DJs, and every user will appreciate the adjustable headband. The Zinken is available in a total of seven different colors, and is collapsible for easy storage.
