This pair of 15mm Aluminum Rods from SHAPE connects to your camera rig, extending it and letting you add compatible accessories. With these two rods and a few fundamental accessories, you can begin building your own rig from scratch.

The rods feel professional and sturdy, more so than the carbon fiber ones I was using before. Rail mounts slide on nicely with the beveled edge, glide across easily when loosened but grip well when tightened, as you’d want. The 18” length allows me to attach both a v-mount battery at the back of the rails and a monitor to the front without sitting too close to my face, which is exactly what I was looking for in my custom shoulder rig. Would highly recommend.
I prefer these over other manufacturers. The bevelled edges make sliding components on and off super easy. Solid build, nice and clean.
