This very useful accessory includes a windscreen to reduce noise from wind when shooting video outdoors. The mic has a Wide mode and a Zoom mode. The Wide mode records a broad area in stereo. The Zoom mode records a more narrow area in mono to eliminate background noise and to isolate a desired sound source. A status lamp indicates Record or Standby. No power supply is needed, as the microphone is powered by the camera through the hot shoe. A camera firmware update is required to use this mic.
