The native Phil Manchester Audio Forensics Package from Waves includes 9 plug-ins chosen by covert audio specialist Phil Manchester. It is designed for law enforcement agencies and includes the W43 Noise Reduction plug-in, the X-Noise, X-Crackle, X-Hum, and X-Click plug-ins, the Q10 Paragraphic EQ, the PAZ Frequency Analyzer, the L1 Ultramaximizer, and the C1 Compressor.   • W43 - Noise Reduction Plug-In (Native)

    The W43 Native from Waves is a noise reduction plug-in inspired by, and built on the legacy of the renowned CAT 43 processor. Ambient noise such as hiss, hum, traffic, wind and air conditioning noise can all wreak havoc on film/video production dialog tracks.

    With four fixed frequency bands, the W43 is an affordable, easy-to-use plug-in for post production that delivers high-quality noise reduction with minimal artifacts (like the original hardware), while providing all the advantages of software, such as multiple simultaneous instances.

It shows L/R peak and RMS displays, with individually re-settable peak hold values. It has optional resolution in 10Hz steps for precise analysis below 250Hz, and the 52 or 68 band analysis graphic output can be saved to memory via a text file.
