Novoflex LEM/NIK-NT Overview

The Lens Adapter for Nikon Lens to Leica M Camera from Novoflex allows the use of Nikon mount lenses on the Leica M camera body. These adapters allow Nikon lenses that do not have aperture control rings to work with the Leica M as well. Novoflex is a top quality manufacturer of lens adapters.

Note:
With a few Nikkor G-series lenses the weather sealing on the lens has to be removed to fit with this adapter. This does not affect the function of the lens.

Not the precision I was expecting for the price

Novoflex has always been that brand name where one could buy with the security of knowing it's a precision and thoughtfully made product. Not the case here. The Nikon lens mount on mine came with an excruciatingly tight fit. The Leica body fit was the total opposite, mounting with no resistance and has a little rotational play on the mount. The tight Nikon lens fit has the very real potential to damage your lens' aperture control lever, since there is no way to mount the lens without inadvertently moving the blue aperture control ring to a position where your mounting force is applied directly to the aperture lever which stops prior to the lens clicking into the pin recess. The tighter the lens mount, the more force is applied. This is an incredible design flaw and oversight. I've had to remove the bayonet mount and compress the tiny bayonet springs so that they deform to have less pressure. (see picture attached). The user manual states mount the lens to adapter first, then the adapter to camera. I would recommend the opposite to avoid turning the blue aperture control ring and preventing damage to the lens. Also, I can't help be annoyed that the adapter doesn't come with simple caps for this price. Worst of all, a standard Nikon F mount body cap will not fit onto the adapter securely. It will remain completely loose! What!??? This is my first Novoflex product where I'm ashamed at my assumption of their quality and have made a regrettable purchase.

I shoot Leica M10 monochrome these days, and occasionally I need a longer lens. This adapter allows me to use use reasonable Nikon F-mount glass to capture the shot. It works great, and glad it's in my bag.

For the Nikkor 14-24 2.8 G, how do you adjust the aperture on a Leica M11?

The Novoflex Lens Adapter for Nikon Lens to Leica M Camera controls the f/stop from the blue ring. But you do not have a way of seeing what the actual f/stop is. And that is only for AF-S lenses. It does not work with the E lenses by Nikon.

Hi Madam / Sir,Please let me know whether this adapter can be used for Nikon PC-E 19mm lens on Leica M10 body?The new Nikon lenses come with electronic apertures setting, which maybe tricky for Leica M10 body, please recommend the adapter that can change the apertures setting & live view focusing to infinity?

I have tried this. You can physically attach the lens, and you can make great images, but you cannot control the aperture of an E type lens, and I am pretty sure the 19mm PC is an E-type. question

i have a zeiss zf 85mm f1.4 planar that i would like to use on my m9. the zeiss already has an aperture ring. will it still function properly with this product which seems to have an another aperture ring?

You can use the Novoflex Lens Adapter for Nikon Lens to Leica M Camera to mount your Zeiss ZF 85mm f/1.4 lens onto the M9. The fact that the lens has an aperture ring and the adapter has built-in aperture control will not be an issue. You will be able to control the aperture with either.

I own Zeiss Otus ZF mount lens for my Z camera. Will the Novoflex work to pair the Otus ZF to a Leica M10? or SL?

If your Zeiss lens has Nikon F mount to be used with a Nikon DSLR F mount camera you can use this Novoflex adapter and have that lens work on a Leica M camera. This Novoflex adapter won't work on a Leica SL camera. You will need an L mount adapter for a Leica SL camera.
